Where I've worked
- ›Engineer on the Vista team's Design Creation Tools (Dynamic Design Maker, Concept Kit Maker), used by designers. Fixed blank previews, vanishing images and load crashes, made silent failures visible in New Relic, and wrote the 2-year decision record for handing both tools to the Design Intelligence team.
- ›Cut signage preview load time from ~42 s to ~10 s (~75% faster) by loading on demand. Added search across every project (was capped at 10) and a designer-requested filter for duplicate aspect-ratio previews.
- ›Prevented an outage across 3 designer-facing services (Resizer, Designer DEX, Content Creation Tools API) by migrating them to the new version of a core internal service before the old one was switched off. Resolved or triaged 17 designer support tickets.
- ›Raised test coverage from 16.9% to 27.1% (+60% vs. a +20% goal) with 1,215 real-behaviour tests, then replaced quality checks that could never fail with automated guardrails on 6 repos.
- ›Rolled out AI code review in CI on 4 repos and published first-responder, an org-wide agent skill used on 100% of incoming support tickets: it resolves ~60% of them and cuts turnaround time by over 70%.
- ›Thread.ai — built and launched an AI-powered knowledge co-pilot for tech teams. Beta-tested across multiple enterprise teams: +25% developer productivity, -30% developer costs for clients.
- ›Crew.ai — built a workplace management platform (Next + Nest) that automates time and leave tracking. Beta-tested with several clients; 500 people onboarded and growing.
- ›Fintech static site — dynamically generated, with the Marketing team able to edit any content without contacting developers.
- ›Platform team. Built a document viewing platform (JavaScript, Elixir, Phoenix templates) giving the whole company secure access to PII data.
- ›Built a human workflow platform that lets agents correct documents the OCR engine got wrong, contributing to over 5% revenue growth.
- ›Architected, planned and built an Elm SPA that helped the client grow their customer base by over 15%.
- ›Built an internal knowledge-sharing app in Elm, part Stack Overflow, part Hashrocket’s Today I Learned, cataloguing knowledge as it passes between developers.
- ›OCR and Data team. Built an on-demand scraping engine (Python, Scrapy) and migrated parts of the OCR engine from Python to Go, cutting OCR time by over 500ms and improving scale.
- ›API team. Migrated an API gateway to Elixir/Phoenix, cutting server costs by ~30–40%.
- ›Converted a monolith to a microservices architecture for asynchronous data flow (Elixir, Phoenix, RabbitMQ).

Projects coming soon
I'm working on a few personal projects — they'll show up here once they're ready to share.
From the blog
Let's build something great.
I'm available for senior engineering roles and select freelance projects. If you have something interesting, I'd love to hear about it.
